Sculpture in aluminium by Yasmina Abou Jaoude.
Yasmina Abou Jaoude is a British Lebanese artist and sculptor based in London. Her work explores material memory, knowledge horizons, and sculptures. Her current research centers on cutting and folding flat surfaces as both a philosophical and structural gesture, generating fractal qualities from singular planes. Drawing from natural processes and fundamental science, she creates tactile sculptural works that explore movement, tension, and transformation.
Yasmina holds a Diploma from the Architectural Association in London and MA in sculpture from the Royal College of Art. Some of her past projects include working with Shirazeh Houshiary of the New British Sculpture Movement and consulting for Zaha Hadid.
She recently visited CERN to collaborate with a fundamental physicist on a conceptual project ‘Flavour Unification’, a piece that was shown at the British Embassy in Paris. Her work has also been exhibited in London, Paris, and Beirut. She is an ongoing advisor to the Roving Reactor, a large-scale public initiative.
