A shell is a piece that is rough on its outside but conceals a precious interior. While its external skin is textured at the touch, the interior of the shell cabinet is a sleek lacquered wood that reflects light out. The opening of the shell is conceived as a moment of celebration of this alternating matt and reflective materials as the two doors swing open.
